Welcome to Red Hawk Home Owners Association
Welcome to the Red Hawk Home Owners Association’s web site. Red Hawk is a subdivision of 433 homes situated just 1 mile west of the Castle Rock landmark off Wolfensberger Road on the Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course.
A new Board of Governors will be elected at the Annual Homeowners Meeting on May 24, 2011 and will be officially installed at the next regular HOA meeting on June 28, 2011. All Red Hawk homeowners are encouraged to participate in managing our community by attending HOA meetings and becoming a member of the Board of Directors. Any homeowner who would like to run for the Board of Directors should notify the current HOA Board president, Lori Hulbert or our property manager Bonney Julien.
Coming Soon: Philip S Miller Park
The large section of land is for the Town's future "Philip S Miller" park, encompassing 225 acres, with future connection to Ridgeline Open Space. Planning of this park will begin August 2011 and continue through year's end and is the Town's next priority park project. Due to the size of this park, it will be constructed in phases as funds become available.
If you have an opportunity to park near the gated entrance along Coach line/Plum Creek and walk through the area, the views are absolutely unbelievable.
Discount for Payment of Dues
For those homeowners who may be interested in getting a discount on their HOA dues for 2011 all you have to do is pay the entire year in advance and deduct $30.00. Simply remit $490.00 to the property management company as your first payment.
WARNING
Please be aware of a potential problem in your home.
The Pressure Regulator on the main water line may be faulty.
A routine check of the “pressure regulator” on the main water line showed the measured pressure at 140 PSI at the hot water heater. This is much higher than desired for a residence. Generally, the pressure should be in the 50-70 PSI range.
Supply lines as well as appliances are only designed to withstand up to 80 PSI. Over time the rubber and metal parts in these regulators can and will fail. When the regulator fails, water pressure to the home increases putting a strain on valves, hoses, and appliances they were not designed to withstand. This can cause problems with your washer, toilets, ice makers, etc. It can cause flooding in your home that may not be covered by insurance.
If you suspect the pressure in your water heater is too high you can buy a water pressure gauge for about $9 (Home Depot or Lowe’s) and check it or you can call a plumber to check it for you.
